Yale Wang (yalewang@uwm.edu)
Graduate Student
Yale Wang is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In the fall of 2015, he started a new adventure in Dr. Chen’s group as a Master student, where he developed an interest in gas sensing application of nanomaterials and researched on metal oxide nanowires gas sensors for his Master thesis. During his Ph.D. program study, he has worked on the projects on formaldehyde gas and hydrogen detection based on the graphene-based chemiresistive gas sensors. He has also collaborated with Argonne National Laboratory on UV/gas sensor research. Yale is interested in understanding the enhancement effects of the heterostructure in nanomaterials-based gas sensors.
Research topics
