Before joining the University of Chicago, Xiaoben received his Ph.D. from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Dalian China in 2023. Before that, he finished the educations and researches of B.S. at China University of Geosciences in Wuhan China in 2016.

Current Research
Xiaoben’s research focuses on the identification and tracking of dynamical behaviors of nanostructures during the interaction of gas-solid and liquid-solid interfaces by using high spatial/temporal/energy resolution (S)TEM in combination of in situ spectral and DFT simulation methods.
